KAIZEN VS. COMMUNITY
Kaizen is the Japanese word for continuous improvement. Change management is about the constant tension between change and stability. The wheel and the wall symbolize the dialectical relationship that concludes in growth. The task of the business is innovation and growth, to the end that a profit is realized. The main task of community is social stability. Business needs stable communities, and the community needs to grow.
FENCE'S END
This painting represents a survivalist attitude of acceptance when faced with the phenomenon of change. Fences mark out territories which are always limited in both time and space.
AIR POLLUTION
The correction of pollution problems are, to a large degree, change management problems.

In a competitive arena it is necessary to design our activities to maximize our performance. My son is skimming a rock down at the beach, which for him is an unselfconscious action. He would like to be a professional baseball player some day and so he is being taught the proper mechanics by a trainer. For him, throwing at the beach is an unselfconscious action, but at the ball field its done by design.
